Is it too late to buy these stocks?

While the market is up 6.5% this year, our Top 10 list up 20.1%, beating the market averages by a factor of 3 times.

So, is it too late to buy the stocks on our list? Have they already gone up so much that they’re just too expensive to buy now? The answer is that some of them are getting close to becoming fully priced, but there are a few that still have plenty of room to grow for the rest of the year.

Take EDU for example. New Oriental Education and Tech is the largest provider of private educational services in China based on the number of program offerings, total student enrollments and geographic presence. New Oriental offers a wide range of educational programs, services and products consisting primarily of English and other foreign language training, test preparation courses for major admissions and assessment tests in the United States, the PRC and Commonwealth countries, primary and secondary school education, development and distribution of educational content, software and other technology, and online education.

The reason EDU is down nearly 10% so far this year is because of a widespread fear that China’s economy is coming dangerously close to a serious recession. Although we don’t share this concern as much as other investors might, we believe that EDU will continue to grow and produce healthy profits even if the Chinese economy stalls out. You have an opportunity right now to buy a great company, with great growth potential, and you can get it on sale for 10% off!

To improve your overall investing strategy, I offer a free online assessment that tells you your “Investment Personality”. The assessment is 100% free, all online, and only takes a few minutes. You’ll get an email with your results and my personal recommendations. In my 30 years of investing I’ve learned that knowing your investment personality is key to successful investing. The most critical skill for success in investing

The crucial skill that top performing investors have is self-awareness. People like Buffett and Soros are brutally and relentlessly honest with themselves about their beliefs and behaviors as investors. They know their strengths and their limitations. They know the mistakes they tend to make repeatedly, and they take steps to avoid them.

Without this skill, it’s almost impossible to know what your most profitable investment strategy is. And the stock market is an expensive place to find out through trial and error.

Do you know which kinds of investment risks you should be taking, and which you should avoid? There are some risks that you are well-suited for, and others that you should avoid. Each investor has an ideal combination of risk preferences and capacity for taking the right amount of the right kinds of risk. It takes self-awareness to know how to deal with this issue.

Are you being properly rewarded for the risks you are taking in the market? Do you know to make the kinds of decisions that the best investors make? It all begins with an honest assessment of who you really are as an investor.

I urge you to invest 10 minutes of your time and take the free Investor Personality Questionnaire. There are two immediate benefits you will get when you take it. First, the questions will cause you to think about your investment process in a completely new way. This almost always leads to new insights and unexpected discoveries about the way you think and make investment decisions. This alone is worth the 10 minutes of effort.

But even more valuable is the fact that I will read and evaluate all of your answers, and send you a personalized report that you can keep with no further obligation. The report addresses important aspects of who you are as an investor. It covers your capacity for risk taking, your grasp of basic investment concepts, and how well your investment strategy matches your stated goals and objectives.

The feedback I’ve received from people who have taken the questionnaire has been overwhelmingly positive. Why don’t you give it a try? You will probably learn a thing or two about who you really are as an investor – and that can be very valuable indeed.
